Callum - If you setup using the steps outlined in that video tutorial, or in this How-to, you should be all set. The kind of NAS doesn't affect whether you can use it for storage.

I would advise against this as backing up directly to NAS is deprecated and could be removed from a future update at any time.

Change the "type" from NAS to CIFS.Edit: I meant change the "protocol" to CIFS.

Sorted this by adding the NAS as ISCSI into VMWare and then adding a virtual disk that way
